And… We are LIVE!
Our crowd funding pitch to save The Old Lock Up Studio went live today via People Fund It: founded by Hugh Fearnley-Whttingstall!
Some of you will remember & supported my successful crowd funding in early 2012 when I raised over £1,7000 through crowd funding with We Did This. I was overwhelmed by the support I received during my crowd funding in early 2012 and my supporters made pledges after seeing my pitch on Twitter, facebook, in the local press & on my wordpress blog. People pledged locally, nationally and from as far a field as America!
After the great support the first time around I would like to gather this support again.
We are aiming to raise just over £1000 this year and this crowd funding will contribute towards the lease of The Old Lock Up Studio & enable us to move into 2013/14 and work towards becoming sustainable.
Some of you will have visited the studio during a Salon exhibition, children’s art workshop, life drawing class or when we have opened our doors for Celebrating Cromford last year. The money that we raise will help us continue our work and develop the studio further.
We are becoming a creative hub for a great local community and wish this to continue.
You can help support this vibrant studio & it’s collective of artists by either making a pledge and/or helping to spread the word about the crowd funding itself.
All pledges receive a reward & pledges start from just £10! And include ‘I Saved The Old Lock Up Studio’ T-shirts, workshops, Children’s art workshops and more.

Well done
Thanks Rosie!
Good luck! Looking forward to the next Salon event and to see the ‘tap that you can wash your hands with’.
Cheers Martin! Roxy says the ‘Tub that you wash your hands in…’ Maybe it’s her Derbyshire accent!
